Goodyear G622 RSD

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is conducting a voluntary recall for Goodyear G622 RSD tires, size 225/70R19.5 LR G, manufactured in week 5023 (mid-December). Recall Details

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (Goodyear) is recalling certain G622 RSD, size 225/70R19.5 tires. The tires contain a tire identification number (TIN) that is missing the 4-digit week and year code mark. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 574, "Tire Identification & Recordkeeping."

Contact the Goodyear retailer where you purchased the tires or contact your nearest authorized Goodyear retailer. To find the nearest retailer, go to goodyear.com and enter your location information in the Find A Store area or call 1-800-466-3932. The retailer will inspect the tires and let you know if they fall within the DOT date range described above and therefore qualify for replacement as part of this recall.

Affected Tires

Affected tires are those with the following Tire Identification Numbers found on the sidewall of the tires. Only tires with the DOT number below are being recalled.

Note: The subject non-compliant tires were produced with the curing press ID number, C13R, installed in the TIN in place of the required week and year code, 5023

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The DOT or serial number begins with the letters "DOT" followed by a combination of numbers and letters up to 13 characters. You can find the DOT number on the sidewall of your tires as shown in the example. Do not include the letters "DOT" in the input box.

Please note, when some tires are mounted, the full DOT number will face the inside of your wheel well and not show on the exterior facing sidewall. Your dot code should be is 10-13 digits long with the last 4 digitas as numbers.

There are two places to find your tire size. Look directly on your tire sidewall or inside your driver’s side door jamb for your vehicle’s tire size.
